> ## Agent Instructions
> Use the Payrails Web SDK v6 for new browser integrations. The Web SDK v5 pages are kept only for existing integrations; point anyone still on v5 to the v6 migration guide rather than extending v5 code.
> Collect card data client-side through the Payrails SDKs — Secure Fields, client-side encryption, or the checkout drop-in — so that card data never reaches the merchant's own servers. Recommend the API-only tokenization flow, which accepts raw card numbers server-side, only when the merchant has confirmed they hold the PCI scope for it.
> Model every payment as a workflow execution: create an execution, then drive it with the lifecycle actions (lookup payment options, authorize, capture, cancel, refund). Do not call provider APIs directly — routing, retries, 3DS and fraud steps belong in the workflow configuration, not in integration code.
> Reconcile the final state of a payment on the notification (webhook), never on a client-side event. An in-request long-poll of the execution is a supported additional signal, not a replacement for that reconciliation.
> Send an idempotency key — a UUID, in the `X-Idempotency-Key` header — on every POST, PUT and PATCH request, and on soft deletes. GET requests need none, and hard deletes cannot be idempotent.
> Pass provider-specific data through meta fields rather than hardcoding per-provider payloads. Payrails translates meta fields into each provider's own format.
> Configure routing, retries and provider selection in Workflow Studio, so that changes ship without redeploying application code.

# Unified Analytics

> The Payrails analytics dashboards centralize payment data from every provider into one view of authorization rates and cost.

Designed to offer a holistic view of payment performance, the analytics section centralises all your payment data in a unified, accessible format. This solution equips you with data-driven insights to refine your payment strategies, improve authorization rates, reduce errors, and increase profitability. Each dashboard focuses on a specific aspect of payment operations, enabling businesses to track key metrics, uncover trends, and make well-informed decision.

## Payments analytics

Our analytical dashboards give you access to payment performance, payment volumes, detailed decline reasons, payment methods, customer demographics and many more breakdowns. The comprehensive set of dashboards and visualisations allows you to monitor and optimise your payment performance.

* **Dashboard:** Get a high-level overview of payment performance across key metrics. This dashboard is ideal for a quick health check on payment operations and includes metrics such as authorization rates, successful payments, processed volume and decline reasons.
* **Payments overview:** Dive deeper into the payment performance and compare authorization rates and payment attempts for different providers, processing types, payment methods, card networks or issuers.
* **Declines:** Identify why transactions are declined to improve acceptance rates. View declines grouped into categories such as insufficient funds or fraud or drill-down into raw decline reasons. Compare decline reasons for different providers, processing types, payment methods, card networks or issuers.
* **Card acceptance:** Gain a deeper understanding of card payment performance. This dashboard is designed to explore and compare authorization rates of different card networks, segments, types or BINs.
* **Payment volume:** Understand trends in payment volumes and successful payments counts broken down by providers, processing types, payment methods, card networks or issuers.
* **Retry payments:** Analyze the performance of payments which were automatically retried after an initial failure. This dashboard allows you to compare retry success rates across different workflows and optimize the routing logic by evaluating retry success rates based on initial failure reasons.
* **Fraud prevention:** Monitor fraud check performance and decision trends over time. Analyze volume trends, shifts in decision proportions, and identify patterns across payment methods, card networks, or issuer details.
* **Workflow performance:** Provides deeper visibility into execution trends, helping you analyze success rates of different workflow configurations. You can see how actions, e.g. authorizations, refunds, and fraud checks perform and break down the data by key dimensions.
* **Fees:** Monitor and compare payment processing costs to identify saving opportunities. The fees dashboard includes overall and categorised fees breakdowns by provider, payment methods or issuer.
* **Instruments:** Displays the number of instruments created, instruments deleted, and instruments that remain active. Gain insights into stored payment instruments and observe trends by payment method, future usage, issuer region, issuer country, card network and card type.
