How a DANA payment works
DANA is a wallet redirect payment method:- The customer selects DANA at checkout.
- Payrails creates the payment at Checkout.com and returns a redirect URL, and the customer goes to DANA.
- The customer signs in to DANA and confirms the payment.
- DANA sends the customer back to your
returnInfoURL. - Payrails receives the final result from Checkout.com and updates the payment.
Supported currencies and countries
DANA supports IDR (Indonesian rupiah) as its presentment currency.Supported workflows
Before you begin
Complete these steps before you send your first DANA payment through Checkout.com:- Set up a Checkout.com integration in your workspace. Follow the Checkout.com integration setup guide if you don’t have one yet.
- Ask Checkout.com support to enable Alipay+ and DANA on your Checkout.com processing channel.
- In the Payrails Portal, go to Settings → Integrations, open your Checkout.com integration, select Dana under Payment methods, and save.
- Add DANA as a payment option in your workflow.
Request fields for Checkout.com
Send these fields in the authorize request, in addition to the standard authorize fields. Payrails checks Required fields and returns an error when one is missing. Fields required by the PSP pass the Payrails checks but the PSP can decline the payment without them.Authorize a DANA payment
Call authorize a payment withdana as the paymentMethodCode. The response includes the redirect to DANA.
Authorize request
success or error URL. Confirm the result through webhook notifications or the execution status before you fulfill the order.
How Checkout.com handles DANA
- Payrails creates the DANA payment through the Checkout.com Payment Setup API, and sends the order items with it.
- Payrails sets the Checkout.com terminal type from
meta.clientContext.clientType. - If Checkout.com doesn’t return a redirect for a pending DANA payment, Payrails fails the payment, because the customer can’t complete it.
- Payrails doesn’t save the DANA payment method at Checkout.com, so Save Instruments and MIT aren’t available.
