Before you begin

Complete these steps before you send your first JazzCash payment through Thunes:
  1. Set up a Thunes integration in your workspace. Follow the Thunes integration setup guide if you don’t have one yet.
  2. Ask Thunes to enable JazzCash on your Thunes merchant account, with a payment page whose ID is jazzcash. Payrails opens the Thunes payment page with that ID.
  3. In the Payrails Portal, go to Settings → Integrations, open your Thunes integration, select JazzCash under Payment methods, and save.
  4. Add JazzCash as a payment option in your workflow.

Request fields for Thunes

Send these fields in the authorize request, in addition to the standard authorize fields. Required fields must be present for the payment to succeed. Payrails sends Optional fields to the PSP when you include them.

Authorize a JazzCash payment

Call authorize a payment with jazzCash as the paymentMethodCode. The response includes the redirect to the Thunes payment page.
Authorize request
After the customer confirms the payment, Thunes returns them to your success or error URL. Confirm the result through webhook notifications or the execution status before you fulfill the order.

How Thunes handles JazzCash

  • Thunes notifies Payrails of the final result. When Thunes reports the payment as charged, Payrails records the authorization and the capture together.
