Konnect via Thunes

Accept Konnect payments from customers in Pakistan with Thunes as the payment service provider (PSP). The customer selects Konnect, confirms the payment on the Thunes payment page and returns to your site.

Supported workflows

Before you begin

Complete these steps before you send your first Konnect payment through Thunes:

Set up a Thunes integration in your workspace with your Thunes merchant ID, API key, and secret key. Payrails uses the secret key to verify Thunes notifications. Contact your Payrails account team if Thunes isn’t listed in your Payrails Portal yet.
Ask Thunes to enable Konnect on your Thunes merchant account, with a payment page whose ID is konnect. Payrails opens the Thunes payment page with that ID.
In the Payrails Portal, go to Settings → Integrations, open your Thunes integration, select Konnect under Payment methods, and save.
Add Konnect as a payment option in your workflow.

Request fields for Thunes

Send these fields in the authorize request, in addition to the standard authorize fields. Required fields must be present for the payment to succeed. Payrails sends Optional fields to the PSP when you include them.

`meta.customer.country.code`	Required	Sent to Thunes as the billing country, for example `PK`.
`meta.order`	Required	Payrails returns an error when the order is missing.
`meta.order.reference`	Required	Sent to Thunes as your order ID.
`meta.customer.reference`	Required	Sent to Thunes as your customer ID.
`meta.customer.name`	Required	Sent to Thunes as the customer’s first name.
`meta.customer.email`	Required	Sent to Thunes as the customer’s email.
`meta.customer.lastName`	Optional	Sent to Thunes as the customer’s last name.

Authorize a Konnect payment

Call authorize a payment with konnect as the paymentMethodCode. The response includes the redirect to the Thunes payment page.

After the customer confirms the payment, Thunes returns them to your success or error URL. Confirm the result through webhook notifications or the execution status before you fulfill the order.

How Thunes handles Konnect

Payrails opens the Thunes payment page whose ID is konnect, and sends the payment amount as a decimal value in PKR.
Thunes notifies Payrails of the final result. When Thunes reports the payment as charged, Payrails records the authorization and the capture together.
